Mars' Orbit
It takes Mars 686.971 days to orbit the sun, which is also equivalent to 1.88 years which means that Mars finishes its orbit around the sun 88 days after after Earth., but it takes Earth 365 days to orbit the sun and on a leap year it takes 366 days for Earth to orbit the sun. It takes Mars longer than Earth to orbit the sun because Mars is further away as it is the fourth planet from the sun. Earth, on the other hand is the third planet from the sun so it is closer than Mars.
